Report
What does the report team do?
The team is primarily responsible for presenting UCSD DBF’s vision for the plane, including our design and
fabrication processes, to the competition organizers. We write a short design proposal by the end of October
to formally enter the competition, and a technical report by mid-February that is crucial to a team’s
overall performance.
As a report team member, you will:
- Learn technical writing skills by conveying engineering information in a clear, concise manner
- Develop communication skills by conveying requirements to members in the writing process
- Utilize MATLAB (and similar programs) to write code, keep data, and create figures
- Employ graphic design principles to enhance and supplement written content
